The fee controversy of HIVE box first appeared in Hangzhou. On May 6th, due to dissatisfaction with the fee system of 0.5 yuan per delayed collection by HIVE Box, the Dongxinyuan community in Hangzhou forcibly shut down HIVE Box's cabinet machines. Subsequently, anger began to spread between communities and cities. As of May 9th, nearly 50 residential areas in Shanghai have also posted notices to stop using HIVE Box intelligent express cabinets.
Everyone seems to have accumulated deep resentment towards HIVE Box。
Many people say, "I paid for the express delivery, but didn't deliver it to my doorstep. Without permission, put it in the express cabinet and asked if I would charge more. Now I'm so used to not even delivering it to my doorstep."
In fact, this statement is reasonable because the Provisional Regulations on Express Delivery grant the recipient the right to inspect the goods in person. If the goods are blindly put into the express cabinet, how will the recipient accept them?
The Management Measures for Intelligent Express Box Delivery Services clearly stipulate that when using intelligent express boxes to deliver parcels, enterprises must obtain the consent of the recipient; If the recipient does not agree to use the smart express box to deliver the package, the smart express box using enterprise shall provide delivery services according to the name and address specified in the express delivery service contract. Except when the sender designates a smart express box as the delivery address when delivering the item.
Based on the current situation, most users have not agreed to use smart express delivery boxes, while couriers use them without authorization. It is unbalanced for users to lose their right to door-to-door services and still be required to pay fees, no matter how they look at it.
In addition, there are also many users who support charging, but for 12 hours; I am not satisfied with this time limit.

In the first five months of 2018, it was almost the same as the full year of 2017 (250 million yuan), and in 2019, the loss reached a higher level, reaching 781 million yuan。
Adding to the net loss of 245 million yuan in the first quarter of 2020, a rough estimate shows that Fengchao's losses have exceeded 2 billion yuan over the past five years.
