The General Office of the State Council released an announcement according to its meeting spirit of holiday arrangement in 2016 that The 3 days will be public holiday from 30 April (Saturday) to May 2nd (Monday), resume to work on May 3, (Tuesday). All companies should have properly arrangement on emergency as well as safety, security, etc to ensure the every one live in a peaceful and safe holiday. In case of any major events happened, timely report and proper disposal are the must based on our provisions.

1. Some multi-national brands in hospitality industry increased their room price during Labor Day holiday in terms of replacing the value-added tax to business tax. The hotel groups of Hyatt, Intercontinental, Marriott, and Hilton are in the list which first reported by "first financial daily".
 
As long as 13th April, The "first financial daily" reported some multi-national hotel brands increased their price when Government announced the reform program of replacing business tax with VAT. Now more and more brands are interesting in price increasing.
 
Until the date of news dispatches, The hyatt hotel group, intercontinental hotels group, marriott, Hilton Hotel group and other foreign brands increased their room price successfully. From the information of their website, as well as the "first financial daily" reporter interviewed the hotel staff, The room service charge were increased from 15% to 21.9% (tax included) starting from May 1, the growth of 6.9% are all contributed by the reform program of replacing business tax with VAT.
 
Therefore, does it mean the running cost of hospitality industry higher if replacing business tax with VAT?
The head of tax department of The ministry of finance and the head of good and service tax department of SAT have told reporters that fully implemented this reform program is aimed to impose value added tax, rather than impose business tax plus VAT. The relevant person in charge of the Shanghai tax authority have also told reporters of the "first financial daily" that some companies of hospitality industry misunderstood this program if they increased their room price 6% onto the current price directly and hastily.
 
2. More than 8 billion shares will be lifted before Labor Day, source: the China securities journal. Starting from 18th Apr to 1^st May, there is a small peak that 8 billion shares will be lifted and traded in market with the two weeks, the market value is more than 119.6 billion Yuan. The following May and Jun are also intensive months of shares lifted this year. The last lifted peak was end of this March when the market adjusted. The future market might also fluctuation within a narrow range, It’s a further pressure for market to accept all lifted share.
 

3. Weather forecast:

From 30 April to 2 May, a strong cold air is expected to affect most of northern China when it moves to the east from northern Xinjiang. In some certain locations of northern and eastern Xinjiang, eastern Northwest China, North China, and Northeast China, Category 4~6 northerly wind is predicted. The temperature in these areas is forecasted to drop by 6~10℃ or even 12~14℃.
